At the beginning of this activity, a few passerbies considered the booklets as flyers and refused to take them, also some of the elders were asking for the add-on shopping bags. However, after the staff and volunteer had explained those booklets were prepared for target population, the public was highly positive and supportive about this kind of activity. This well-designed and professional booklet includes three main parts: basic laborer’ rights and interests, common scenarios that workers’ rights are easily violated, and corresponding approaches for different cases in details. Four securities were asking for the booklets, and carefully read it for a while, followed by occasional discussion. Such behavior means a lot for the whole team and their efforts.

During this program, numerous migrant workers had shown their appreciation and support, while some of them were not willing to take it for some reasons. It means that, in order to have more migrant workers get benefit, legal education for the public and further work still have a long way to go.
