On the evening of Nov 16, Beijing Yilian Legal Aid and Research Center of Labor (hereinafter referred to as Yilian) carried out legal training for the migrant workers near the Majuqiao labor market, Tongzhou District once again. This time, Yilian invited an old friend of these workers, Mr. Shichun Han, deputy director of Yilian, as speaker for the training program. He delivered a speech titled “what to be aware of when a labor contract is canceled”. Mr. Han combined his abundant legal aid handling experience with the needs of workers and attracted more than twenty workers to participate in. The training was also a milestone event of Yilian’s project, which is sponsored by the United Nations Democracy Fund.On the evening of Nov 16, Beijing Yilian Legal Aid and Research Center of Labor (hereinafter referred to as Yilian) carried out legal training for the migrant workers near the Majuqiao labor market, Tongzhou District once again. In the course of training, Mr. Han taught the workers how to properly terminate labor relationship with the employers in order to safeguard their legitimate rights by referring to a large number of cases handled by himself. To help the workers grasp the knowledge efficiently, Mr. Han took a Q&A method in teaching, which made the training both vivid and targeted. With the active learning atmosphere in the classroom, the enthusiasm in workers to participate in the discus was mobilized, and many workers raised their hands to deliver their questions.
After this training, many workers said that free legal training like this is really too incredible, which they learned a lot from. They were looking forward to inviting colleagues to participate in this series of activities and let more workers to benefit from it. In addition, some workers who did not manage to attend because they had to work overtime felt sorry about that and promised they would come next time.
